South Florida Quilt Expo 2025

Dear Quilting Community,

We are sad to be leaving, but this news is very real. After more than 36 years and 18 shows the South Florida Quilt Expo (formerly Broward Quilt Expo), we have come to the difficult decision that 2025 was our final show.

What began with just four guilds in Broward County grew into a vibrant collaboration of nine guilds across three counties. However, after much deliberation, the Board has determined that we are unable to continue. The rising costs of producing the show in 2027, combined with a decline in attendance and fewer volunteers available to manage the many committees, have made it unfeasible to move forward.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this journey. To our vendors—both new and longtime supporters—thank you for believing in us. To our dedicated committee chairs who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, we couldn’t have done it without you. And to the guilds, quilters, and attendees who have made this event so special, we are forever grateful.

While our show has come to an end, our online presence will remain active. We will continue sharing award winners on social media, and our website will stay up through the end of the year as we archive past photos and showbooks for the quilting community to enjoy.

But don’t despair! Quilting is alive and well, and we know that many small guilds continue to host local shows. Perhaps one of the participating guilds will create a new event that grows into something just as wonderful as the Broward Quilt Expo once did.
